I get asked this question a lot. Ladies with short hair feel like since they already standout because of their hairdo, wearing bold makeup makes them standout even more. The way you wear Makeup is definitely an extension of your fashion sense.
My client turned friend agreed to let me use her to in this post to showcase having short hair, and rocking bold looks.
Dark Eyes and Lip Combo.
This look is a simple dark brown smokey eye, paired with not a nude lip which would be the obvious choice, but a dark rich purple coloured lip.
Eyes: Wet n wild brow pencil in dark brown, LA girl pro concealer in ‘toast’, Eyeshadows from the MAC 15 warm neutral palette, House of Tara curling mascara.
Face: MAC studio fix foundation in NW48, MAC studio fix powder in NW45, Milani mosaic powder blush in ‘sweeet cheeks’.
Lips: Nouba millebaci no 45.
I honestly don’t know if there’s anything prettier than glitter. The sparkle combines so much glam and fun! It definitely takes a look from being just pretty to being the center of attraction. I mean the drama! And I combined that with a red lip and some falsies. I honestly wish I could have taken a video of this, because photos don’t do it justice.
Eyes: Eyeshadows from the Morphe brushes 35U palette, Eye Kandy cosmetics glitter in ‘confetti’, sigma beauty gel eyeliner in ‘wicked’.
Face: Same as previous look.
Lips: Rimmel London lasting finish lipstick in ‘Alarm’.
Model Lula. Thanks a lot for being such a good sport, and great model.
Makeup and Photography by @sunshinesbrides
Basically long hair, short hair, makeup is an extension of your style and should be unapologetically YOU. I have decided to take my interest in portrait photography more seriously. I got a new camera, a Sony Alpha Nex-5TL, and I’m experimenting. I can only get better 🙂 .
