Enhanced By Sunshine

After doing the piece on the Nigerian gele, I decided to do a more relatable headpiece post. What’s more relatable than a turban? Whether as a fashion piece to accessorize outfits, on a bad hair day, or for religious purposes, we all have those scarves and head-ties hanging in our closets. We decided to spice this whole experience up with loads of fun accessories.

Arabian inspired eyeliner and nude lip combo

Products used for Asha’s look:

Eyes: Anastasia beverly hills dipbrow pomade in ‘chocolate’, LA girl pro concealer in fawn and cool tan,  MAC eyeshadows from the 15 x warm neutral palette, LA girl gel liner. Wet n wild Lashes are from All Things Beautiful online store.

Face: Ciku foundation in C95, Ciku blotting powder, Sleek contour kit in ‘medium’, Bhcosmetics blush.

Lips: LA girl endless auto lipliner in ‘cocoa’, Sleek matte me lipstick in ‘birthday suit’.

 

Some cut-crease and crimson goodness.

        I had previously done Zam’s makeup, but she had insisted on a pretty subtle look, she looked so amazing then that I wanted to see her in full glam makeup.

lips: Nouba millebaci lipstick no 46.

 

A big thank you to my gorgeous models Asha and Zam, they were amazing to work with. Headwraps and jewellery are models’ own. Zam is like the turban guru, she can whip up amazing turban styles in seconds. She did an amazing job styling both turbans.
